Anna took up solo singing in her late 20s, after previously singing for many years in choirs (and a barbershop quartet). She studied with Jessie Nickell, Geoffrey Shaw, Alexander Oliver and Teresa Cahill. She attended the Guildhall School of Music & Drama part-time for three years, and gained operatic experience over four years with Morley College Opera. She has also sung with a number of other opera groups in and around London including City Opera, Abbey Opera, Blackheath Opera, Eltham Intimate Opera, Croydon Opera Singers, Mozart 2000 Plus Players, AAC Presents Opera for All, Aquarian Opera, Midsummer Opera and Floral Opera.
